Founded in 2008 and based in Dallas, Texas, Caliber has developed strategic and award-winning design work for a diverse collection of brands and clients.
Our passion is to craft brand stories from the ground up. From initial concepts through final execution, Caliber defines a brand’s voice, personality and style through a variety of deliverables tailored to meet the established goals and objectives.
Need to support an already existing brand? No problem — we’ve got it covered. From research and strategy to advertising and marketing collateral, we can bring new ideas and campaigns to the table while remaining on-brand to the target audience.
How does brand voice and tone translate to the ever-evolving digital space? It’s a challenge Caliber embraces on a daily basis, and as the rules change, so do we. Whether a mobile-friendly website design is in order or a digital strategy needs to be employed, we’re committed to keeping the brand relevant.

Originally an Okie from Muskogee, Murphy relocated to the Dallas area, where he earned a BFA in communication design from the University of North Texas. Since graduating in 1993, he has focused his work within the corporate and retail sectors. In the fall of 2008, Murphy opened the doors to his own firm, Caliber Creative, with partners Bret Sano and Erin Fletcher. His body of work has been recognized in award shows and periodicals including The AR100, Communication Arts, Graphic Design USA, Graphis, HOW and Print.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Bret has lived in DFW for over 25 years. After graduating from The Art Institute of Dallas in 1993 he built an award-winning career as a graphic designer, working primarily in boutique studios for clients ranging from corporate to consumer retail. As a founder and working creative director of Caliber Creative, Bret enjoys new brand design challenges as well as mentoring younger team members. He also fancies himself a quasi-Pacific Northwesterner and somewhat decent photographer.
Since before she was born through today, Karie has spent time in multiple countries. A passion for travel and meeting people has taught her much about the importance of building relationships, which she brings to her role at Caliber. The beauty and excitement of the creative industry brought Karie to Caliber in early 2013 where she has been managing creative assignments ever since.
Born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, California, Erin traded the palm trees for some cowboy boots when she moved to Fort Worth to attend Texas Christian University. She received her degree in strategic communication with an integrated emphasis in advertising and public relations. Erin is an analytical thinker, motivated to leave no stone unturned. Her interest in people and understanding their motivations led her to a client-facing role in account management.
Born in Kentucky, raised in Germany, and then Texas, Christina grew up to have an immense love for people, travel, and art. She graduated with a BFA in Visual Communications from Texas A&M University of Commerce. Her work has been featured in Graphis, the Adobe Design Achievement Awards, and the Dallas ADDYs. When she’s not cracking dad jokes at work, you can usually find her cuddling a dog, buying more sneakers, drawing cartoons, or exploring the world.
As a Texas native, Sydney has grown accustomed to cook outs and the sweet screams of cicadas. Her brother inspired her to become a designer and later she graduat-ed with a BFA in Visual Communications from the Universi-ty of Texas at Arlington. In the wild she can be found drawing pictures of her cat, rescuing turtles in the road, and falling off of her longboard.
Born & Raised in the Lonestar State, Sam will always call Texas her home. She graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a BFA in Visual Communications. Making her the first to have a Bachelor’s Degree in her family. Sam’s work has been recognized by The Dallas Addys, Graphis and MSU Glitch. Although she was physically born and raised in McKinney, Texas, Yvette was mentally raised in Guanajuato, Mexico. Her love of graphic design originated from copying the type and illustrations on cereal boxes when she was 6 and has led her to her senior year in the communication design program at the University of North Texas working towards her B.F.A. Yvette believes that dynamic, visual solutions derive from effective communication between the client and designer. Her work spans from print and digital design to metaphorical collages. She loves everything that entails art, design, and her mami’s cooking.
A curious designer homegrown in North Texas, Kaleb cultivated creativity from an early age through music, skateboarding, drawing, and painting. He is currently a senior in the communication design program at the University of North Texas and enjoys learning about philosophy, psychology, and the history of art and design.
Ginger is a “chiweenie” mix with some serious street-cred. (Not a joke, she is literally a street rescue.) Standing at a staggering 7 inches tall and weighing just under 10.5 pounds, this little nugget is by far the fiercest member of the Caliber team. Ginger’s office duties include looking cute on command, greeting clients and protecting the team from any courier who might try to enter the office too abruptly.
